Tempie Mae Hill Price, the fourth oldest child of Moses and Frances Stancil Hill, was born June 22, 1927, in Kenly, North Carolina.
She grew up with her four siblings: Glady Ruth Hill Wright, Javis Godfrey Hill, Paul Grady Hill and Nelmer Moses Hill.
Tempie married Wilbert "Wilbur" Goodwin Price on December 31, 1944, in Virginia. Wilbur, the son of Henry and Blanche Sanderford Price, was born May 7, 1921, in Clayton, North Carolina.
Tempie and Wilbur had three children: Evelyn, Jonny and William.
When her parents separated and eventually divorced, Moses moved in with her family in Wilson, North Carolina, in the late 1940s. He was living with Wilbur, Tempie, Evelyn and Johnny in the 1950 Census.
Tempie Mae Hill Price died at 67 on Nov. 22, 1994. She is buried in the New Jerusalem Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Kenly, North Carolina.
Wilbur died at 74 on March 17, 1996. He is buried next to Tempie in the New Jerusalem Free Will Baptist Church Cemetery in Kenly.
