Claire Rea Bailey, oldest daughter of Archie Radford and Pauline Bailey, was born on July 10, 1946, in Johnston, North Carolina.
She is the granddaughter of Radford and Delia Hill Bailey, the firstborn child of Tempy Ann Stancil and Fred Hill.
Claire is sister to Eloise Bailey Edwards, Jeanette Bailey Locklear and Archie Wayne Bailey.
From birth, Claire lived with cerebral palsy and faced various physical difficulties throughout her life, including a stroke. She was lovingly cared for by her parents until 1983, when she moved to Smithfield Manor.
Claire passed away peacefully at 62 on July 24, 2008, in Smithfield, North Carolina.
She is buried in the Bailey Family Cemetery.
